Physical Therapy Treatment of patients with Parkinson’s Disease

Three patients with mild to moderate Parkinson’s Disease (all male; aged 52, 54, and 70 years; Hoehn & Yahr stages I-III) completed a 4-week LSVT BIG training program (16 individual 1-hour sessions) and an intensive home training program in accordance with the LSVT BIG protocol.  Upon completion of the training regimen, all 3 patients demonstrated improved balance and functional mobility from baseline function as measured across multiple outcome measures.
