Coccygodynia is defined as pain in the coccyx area. The coccyx can be painful as a result of dislocation during a trauma such as a fall or childbirth. Pain in this region usually causes difficulty sitting and therefore changes how one sits. If left untreated, coccygodynia could progress to low back pain and or other pelvic floor dysfunctions due to changes in posture and muscle guarding. We realize Coccygodynia can prevent you from working or taking care of your baby.
